Who I Am

Researcher by Training,
Editor by Practice

I am an MSc student in the Department of Soil, Water and Environment at the University of Dhaka (CGPA 3.60/4.00) and a recipient of the National Science and Technology Fellowship. My thesis investigates bentonite-biochar coated urea as a climate-smart slow-release fertilizer for South Asian cropping systems.

Alongside my thesis, I hold active research roles at BCSIR (atmospheric PM characterisation and heavy metal analysis) and recently completed a nano-fertilizer experiment at DUNTC. I also built SPADE — an open-source Python platform for standardised nitrogen use efficiency analysis.

Soil fertility, nano-technology, and urban air quality — simultaneous research across Bangladesh's leading institutions.

MSc Thesis · Featured

Bentonite-Biochar Coated Urea & Nitrogen Use Efficiency

Synthesising BBCU from rice husk biochar (pyrolysed at 550°C), sodium bentonite, and corn starch binder. N-release kinetics modelled via Higuchi and Korsmeyer-Peppas equations. Running soil incubation, 50 cm leaching columns, and jar-based volatilisation experiments simultaneously.

Nano Urea vs. Conventional Urea on Wheat

24-pot CRD experiment on BARI Gom 33. Comprehensive NUE indices, Kjeldahl N, tissue nutrient quality (AAS + ICP-OES), and post-harvest soil dynamics despite a hailstorm mid-experiment.

💨 BCSIR · Atmospheric Science

PM₀.₁ & Heavy Metal Characterisation

Ultrafine particulate matter sampling with Nanosampler II (Kanomax 3182) and heavy metal analysis via AAS in Dhaka's urban environment. Ecological risk index assessment ongoing.

Science does not move in a straight line. It loops, it backtracks, it survives hailstorms. What matters is that you keep measuring.
